All You Need to Know About Above Ground Pool
In the hot summer months nothing can replace the feeling of swimming in your cooled pool after work. Pools are often considered the privilege of the rich, but nowadays, if we can buy all kinds of above-ground pools at a reasonable price, anyone can have a pool in their backyard. If you want to have a beautiful, durable above ground pool, you need to learn how to install it, where to install it and how to maintain it.
Positioning the pool
First you have to find the location for your pool. It all depends on the size of your backyard and the size of the pool you want to install, but in any situation there are some basic rules that must be followed. Do not place your pool under trees, shade seems to be a good idea, but when you start removing leaves, branches and insects from the pool, you will find that the umbrella is a much better solution if you want shade over your pool.
Also try to place the pool in the wind-protected area of your backyard. Normally you cannot remove the wind, but it is much more comfortable to leave the pool when there is not too much wind and there is much less dirt in the pool. Avoid underground pipes when placing the pool, as they can be damaged by the weight of the water. The pool is considered a private place to relax. Therefore, try to place the pool in the part that is not visible from your neighbour’s yard, if possible.
You can put the pool on the ground, sand or concrete, but everything depends on the size of the pool. In our opinion concrete is the best and cleanest solution, but it is not necessary if your pool is less than 5 cubic meters. If you choose a concrete base, make sure it is at least 4 feet wider than the pool. If you decide to install your pool on the ground, there are a few rules you must follow. First of all, you must dig the hole 2 inches wider than the pool and 10 inches deep. Then you must remove all branches, stones and other hard objects from the hole and pour a 1/2 inch layer of sand into the hole and level the entire hole. Note that regardless of the type of foundation used for the pool, you must place Pool Ground Cloth under the pool, as the pool foil cannot be applied to abrasive materials such as sand, concrete, or asphalt.
